Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to FitJot, a mobile fitness tracking application provided by Fitjot ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the FitJot app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Health & Medical Disclaimer

• Always consult your physician or other qualified health provider before starting any new fitness program, diet, or training routine.
• The workouts, exercises, and fitness routines in the app are for informational purposes only.
• You use the Service at your own risk. Fitjot is not responsible for any injuries, health problems, or damages that may result from following the exercises or programs available in the app.
• If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain, or shortness of breath at any time while exercising, stop immediately.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account (e.g., via Google Sign-In or Phone/SMS authentication).

• Accuracy — You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Security — You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Termination — We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we suspect you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent or abusive activities.

User-Generated Content

The Service allows you to create, log, and save your own fitness data, including custom workout programs and logged sessions ("User Content").

• Ownership — You retain all rights to the User Content you create within the app.
• Responsibility — You are solely responsible for the User Content you log or share.
• License to Us — By storing User Content on our servers to enable cloud syncing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service in any way that:

• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Infringes upon the rights of others (including intellectual property or privacy rights).
• Involves transmitting harmful code, viruses, or attempting to compromise the security of the app or our servers (e.g., Firebase, MongoDB).
• Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

Intellectual Property

All content provided by Fitjot within the app (excluding your personal User Content), including but not limited to the app's design, text, graphics, exercise libraries, algorithms, and logos, is the property of Fitjot and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Services

FitJot utilizes third-party services, such as Google Firebase for authentication and AppCheck, and MongoDB for data storage. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers.

We are not responsible for the availability or actions of these third parties.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fitjot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
• Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
